Basalt block vineyard. Crazy high acid with blackberry, cranberry, and raspberry fruit. Clear and not overly extracted. Restrained for Shiraz.

Light body, more Rhone like aromas and earthy note. Acidity noticeable with slightly tart fruit.

Heavy duty bottle. Good dark color. Lighter aroma. Some rubber tubing or a pool toy to go with a hint of plum-cherry chutney. Flavors are stiff and chewy. Licorice and stuff. A bit more on offer than many fruit driven OZ Shiraz. It’s a like-able wine to think over a bit.

N: blackberry, plum, bay leaf, charcoal
P: juicy/jammy fruit flavors, with a savory mid-palate of bay leaf, olives, and black pepper, w a stony/charcoal hint on the finish. Improved a lot w air.
