Definitely NOT a classic cab. Which is why I like it. Cab from Pinot country. Fruit bomb on the nose deep black and purple fruit, currant and tar leads to a surprisingly light mouthfeel with super moderate tannins and stellar acidity.

Nov 6th, 2017Excellent shape after 11 years. Decanted and enjoyed with steaks, au gratin potatoes and asparagus.

Dec 1st, 2019That one is OMG! They report small amount of Merlot added but it must be 20% in a form of a sweetest and loaded with cherry fruit flavor Merlot to make this incredibly easy to drink Cab. Also, such intense vanilla flavor that you would suspect presence of actual vanilla extract. So it is oaked, with barely perceptible tannins and acidity despite the recent 2011 vintage on label. Drink it now! As much as you can get.
