Dark red purple. Big nose of ripe black cherry. Juicy full palate confirms the nose adding leathery cranberry and just a hint of oak. Round acidity: very much like that found in a ripe blueberry or plum. Medium light tannins (surprisingly). Finish is moderate and continues the palate. A more fruit-forward style of CdP that's at its best as an "upscale" to everyday fare. Burgers and grilled meats are a natural. Drink now through 2027.

Drank 2/21/20. Tasting event. Tasting pour.

An early drinking, more ripe style. Black cherry, black currant, magic marker, earth and a touch of underbrush on the bouquet. Black fruit and a hint of pepper on the nose well integrated tannins, full body, long finish.

Nose of bright cherry and wild strawberry.

Saline comes in, on, and washes over the tongue.the fruit is soft, with the tiniest of tannins.
The body lacks depth and the wine lacks true terroir character. Not a C-D-P, in my opine. Though you get what you pay for.
Le mistral does not blow through these vineyards, apparently.

Bright cherries, a little hint of sour on the finish. Smooth and warm. Definitely a dinner wine. Not too heavy, medium tannins. Red meat, pork, poultry. Didn't decant but might have helped a little. Good value for a Chateaunuf.

Dark cherry, tobacco, leather. Acid is a bit tight, could stand to cellar for a bit longer. A good buy, but not revelatory.

A most lovely evening with amazing dinner guests...and this guy the first of two different bottles. .right up front the nose was fruity with cherry strawberries and slight acetone. To the palate super ripe cherry, strawberry slightly peppery with a med plus finish. For the price point of this guy is an excellent value on a chateauneuf de pape..

Went well with skirt steak, homemade green salsa and vegetables. Not overly jammy or earthy, nice balance
