Purple in color with medium intensity.

Fruity nose of red and blue fruits with spices, herbs, earth, light oak, chocolates and light barnyard.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, currants, strawberries, bing cherries, chocolates, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs, spices, black tea and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This young Pinot Noir from Yamhill-Carlton in Oregon is already starting to drink beautifully. Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already delicious.

Fruit forward and spicy. Smooth with good structure. Nicely balanced with a tangy finish. Already showing nice complexity.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolved.

Good right out of the bottle, and much better after 45 minutes of airtime. Really worth the wait. Felt like a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir at the beginning, but got earthier as it opened up.

A tasty wine to share with friends and talk about. Good by itself or with food.

100% Pinot Noir grapes were fermented whole Cluster, and aged in used French oak barrels. A small production of less than 5,000 bottles.

13.6% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$70.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Memorialis is impossible to ignore, with a dusty blend of raspberry, violets, underbrush and sweet spice. It's round with a pleasant inner sweetness up front as a wave of juicy acidity enlivens its crisp red fruits. This balances power with finesse, leaving a staining of cherry-berry fruits contrasted by a chalky mineral-tinged tannin coating. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)

Let’s see how this one opens. Dunnuck calls this domestic Grand Cru... It opens tight with big floral and kirsch nose. Good acidity. Good structure.

Beautiful Pinot Noir made by Todd Alexander from Force Majeure in Washington State and Bryant Family Vineyard in Napa. This bottling comes from the Monk’s Gate Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA in Oregon and only 250 cases produced.

Mix of garnet and ruby red. Layered nose with notes of leather, forest floor, baking spices, perfumes blackberries, and a touch sweet smoky. Medium tannins and acidity (6/10) and medium bodied. Quite powerful and voluptuous for a Pinot Noir. Lots of purple flowers on the palate with some blue berries, twigs, dark spices, anise, gravel and some red berries, like currants and black cherries. Long and lingering finish. Drink will 2023.

Sample provided by winemaker, retail price is $49.00.

Parents in town and I opened something different. This has a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the nose. Dark cherries and baking spices. Nice acidity. This is a big Pinot that probably needs another 3 to 5 years to really shine, but is drinking extremely well now.
