Herve Villemade makes non-fussy natural wine. As it goes, his Gamay is beautifully pure and without disruption. Stewed plums and loads of minerals.

Fresh, light gamay with just a hint of holiday spice. Slightly chalky.
Per the winemaker: Alluring aromas of plum, violets, and spice invite you to take a sip and then another, and another. Expect to smell fresh cut violets, iris and peony flowers wrapped in cherry and raspberry with subtle background notes of potting soil. Purchased from Tofino.

Had the 2017 vintage. Light, a little funky, great for the price

Was a virgin to Loire Gamay. Kind of a weird mind trick on the pallet as it combined aspects of Beaujolais and Lorie reds but remained uniquely it’s own wine. A nice wine that I enjoyed, but for my money I’m going Gamay I’m sticking with Beauj.
