Well rounded, nice minerality, mostly green fruit dominant. A little less RS would have taken this to the next level.

Truly the star of the entire day. I legit got tears in my eyes because this Riesling was so beautiful. Bruised yellow apple, singed lemon peel, ginger, wilting jasmine, thyme, petrol, and a tiny bit of peach are woven together by juicy acidity and a lush mouthfeel. Aromatic, mineral, complex, and balanced. I got a bottle to bring home, obviously.

You can rarely be disappointed by a HJW wine. This late-released 2014 riesling is a mind blower. As a wine with grapes selected from their three vineyards, the complexity and richness are incredible compares to the other HJW rieslings. Yet this wine retains the consistent balance, delicacy and roundness as always. White flower, peach and citrus on the nose. Perfectly balanced dryness(sweetness) and acidity(medium-) on the palate. Great depth with minerality bursting on all dimensions. It is powerful, but has a soft touch, which is the HJW style IMHO.

This wine is lush and elegant, floral aromas, perfumey, a little sweet, but not a dessert wine sweetness. Easily one of the best Rieslings I've had and one of the best in the Finger Lakes. Not too expensive either. Almost seems a little like an Alsatian Gewürztraminer.
