Pouring an inky maroon, the '08 Herman Story Syrah 'Larner Vineyard' is no shrinking violet. It is a massively huge, concentrated, no-holds-barred explosion of cherry pie, cinnamon, licorice and spice scents. Well-integrated tannins with a creamy port-like mouthfeel. Finishes long and spicy with melted tar and black fruit notes.
