2012 Vintage. 15.2% Alcohol. Wow, big juicy fruit bomb of a Syrah. Went extremely well with Thai food.

Very dark purple in the glass. Nose of violets and blackberry. Big, dense wine with black fruit, black pepper and notes of meat. Very hot upon opening. Maybe a bit much but the finish is smooth as silk. Enjoying at dinner with my mama.

Jun 13th, 2017In contrast to the Riverain this was open for business right out of the gate. Meat, Violets and a little heat on the nose (you could smell it from a couple feet away!). Palate matched the nose minus the heat, awesome wine

Decanted 2 hours. Drank over three hours. It is big but simple. It lacks the character and complexity of other bien nacido syrahs.
