Sipping Fine Wine

From Terra Alta Spain, Ruby with pronounced fruit aromas with floral spice. On the palate flavors of juicy cherry and ripe strawberry with some cacao and dash of pepper spice. Medium tannins that became harsh after bottle was open for an hour. Medium finish ending with fruit and mineral notes. Good value, no aging potential.

This vibrant, dark berry and floral-dominated Grenache is a terrific example of the value that Herència Altés consistently delivers. Concentration, flavor intensity and balance make the 2017 extremely flexible with food, but it is also delicious alone thanks to gentle tannins. $13.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, May 2019)

Solid wine hitting the taste we’re looking for (bright, tart). Blueberries. Purchased from Flatiron Wines & Spirits

Noted of pepper, meat, stone, raspberry, and garrigue on the nose. A little dry with red fruit flavors and mint, smooth, and lingering finish.

This is one of the best rosés I’ve ever had. I bought it at the shitty wind store down the street and I haven’t been able to find it since, tears.
