So crispy and refreshing! Tart green pear. Really liked, and so many Portuguese whites are such a good value.

Fragrant and crisp, with a mélange of melon, grapefruit, lime, and stone fruits on the palate. I would never know this was a $10 wine. I think this is also my first Portuguese white wine. This 2014 vintage was a sample sent to me to review.

On the label it says 'since 1267'. I think they've figured it out ;). Very rich and med bodied creamy peach and lemon with plenty of acidity. And a touch of oak. But the really good news: $13.99 retail for a wonderful wine.

Leesy, floral. Defined by lots of ripe citrus, almond, honey, and dried flowers. Most similar in my mind to Albariño from the O Rosal area.

This wine kills it at $12. Generous nose, lovely textural breadth and mineral notes. Hits a lot of fruits, ripe melons, white peaches, citrus, crushed rocks, a nice leesy kick. The acid is soft but no means flabby and makes for a great patio wine/cheese partner.
