Clean, correct and, at best, closed. The make doesn't show much, neither roasted/mineral tones nor overt fruit. Can't quite figure the huge scores and promotion of this

This blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional is quintessential Duoro and is outstanding for under $15. It's rich purple-ruby in color. It's a medium-bodied wine with rich fruit flavors of blueberry and black cherry, a hint of oak influence, and lovely acidity on the finish. It's a lot of wine for very little money.

Apr 24th, 2015Deep purple. Aromatically shy. Not very rich in aromas; neither fruity nor particularly mineral. Pretty good pairing with grilled lamb chops (rosemary, garlic, lemon, evoo) and pork tenderloin (guajillo, pasilla, garlic, cumin, vinegar).
