Pale gold in color with a strong mousse and pronounced tertiary aromas of hazelnut, dried Acacia flowers, dried lemon peel, ripe bruised apple and honey. Still vibrant and gorgeous.

Underrated wine. 2006 is stellar and in a great spot right now.

I like lemon brioche and thus I enjoyed this wine. A nice way to celebrate a colleague’s work anniversary.

2013 vintage. Prettier than the 2006 previously on the menu. That had decidedly bready notes and this drops that, introducing flowers and citrus/stone fruits instead. Drinking great now but another 2-5 years could vault this up the ratings scale. 9.10.25.
