Just brilliant. Took 1.5 hours but boy did this unfold. A brilliant wine. 1/3 germany, 1/3 oregon, 1/3 burgundy. Just a world class traveling Pinot Noir. The aromatics were 9.7-9.8. Wait 5 more years if you have some.

May 29th, 2021Dark translucent ruby color. Darker and more brooding than the Kapelle, but still has plenty of bright acidity and crunchy stem notes and red cherry fruit. Still a bit closed. Fantastic stuff!

Sep 12th, 2018So this guy Möbitz is essential a freak. He works at Novartis a PHARMA COMPANY and makes wine on the side. 500 / 800 bottles of Kanzel and Knöpfle. And what can say - His wines are Awesome💕. I want to thank Lyle Fass to bring these to the US and I think together with Enderle and Moll (which are more herbaceous) these have to be the best Pinots on the Planet forget DRC.
Minty nose. Relative dark color. Then a ridiculous potpourri of flavors. Blackberry ok that is trivial but what else- cherry trival too - thyme, Boysenberry, hint of rose - sour apple gummibears - VERY long.
