Bob Parker introduced me to this wine many years ago. Still mesmerizing and hauntingly beautiful in every way. Soaring in the glass, with tremendous complexity and tons of personality. (This is the 2001). Glad I have some left! So great to drink this with the Vinous team last week.

A gorgeously seductive nose with plums, rosemary, thyme and a lovely meatiness. On the palate, resolved dark gamey blue fruit with lovely complexity and a long, delicious finish. In that great zone of cool fruit chateauneuf where there’s so much going on but the power is in check. This is just delicious and fascinating stuff. As good as CNdP gets.

Complex, to say the least. Deep currant aroma. Balanced tannin and a wonderfully smooth finish. Another gem from our billionaire regular.
