In Houston at a famous Greek restaurant. Bought at Costco, not remembering the cost but it wasn’t expensive. They had a current vintage that we haven’t tried yet. A bit of sediment. Pleasant enough to buy again. Wanted to try with the younger vintage but wasn’t up to consuming that much wine tonight.

This is a wonderful Shiraz from South Africa. Intense fruit with multiple layers. Well structured and long finish. Great wine!

Um bom vinho. Bem equilibrado, taninos macios, boa acidez. Aromas de especiarias e a tradicional pimenta do reino. Frutas vermelhas maduras.

Slightly tart, with a bit of spice and jam. Touches of raspberry and a minty finish that I am loving. Paired with braised short rib and went nicely, but I think lamb would have been better.

Lingering but timid finish. Fruity. Blueberry on the nose and something else round and sweet. Any pepperiness is swallowed by fatty (aka cheese) accompaniments.
