Dark ruby red. Blackberries, pepper, bacon fat, mushrooms with a hint of black licorice and green vegetables. Medium body, alcohol, acid and smooth, velvet tannins. Same flavor on the palate as on the nose. Medium plus finish. Very balanced with medium plus finish.

Still holding together quite nicely after 19 years.  Seamless, and mouth filling. Impressed.

Aging quite well with plenty of life left. Fruit a bit darker and quickly overwhelmed by secondary flavors - sweet tobacco and light herbs. Tannins integrated but present.
