Big Circle Santa Barbara County Syrah

Surprisingly good!

2013, cool climate so higher toned, fruit was nice but maybe a slight bit of a bret?

Nice lunch sipper. Restraint on the fruit, big dry tannins. No pepper or meat. Alcohol in check.

Hitching Post Big Circle syrah 2013. The nose suggests a cool climate to me, bright red and black fruits that are underripe and green. There's quite a bit of charcuterie and a little black pepper as well. The palate is more green than I would like. It's a nice syrah, but I wouldn't say it's really good.

Fruit forward Syrah, lots of dark fruits, vanilla spice and cream soda notes. Valley Syrah 101.

Acidity and tannin falling off. Fruit turned a tad as well. Missed the peak of life by 3/5 yrs.

Not bad, standard. Opened up after a bit. Little dry and chalky on the back end.

This is an amazing wine and an amazing restaurant in Buellton, CA. Best steak I've ever had.

This is the basic SB County Syrah. Dark, inky and bold. A nice wine.
