Old Vine Russian River Valley Zinfandel

It not my cup of tea. Too much concentrated dried berry - seems pretty well structured and has some zing but I don’t like all that sweetness. It’s why I hate raisins.

What a gem! Zinot mode in full effect.

Light bodied Zin. Dark Cherry and dried herbs on the nose. Cherry and a hint of black pepper and baking spice on the finish. Silky texture. Not your typical Zinfandel. More like a CDP.

Spicy all the way through.

Had at Berns. Of three wines Steph likes this best( others Honig Cab and Keenan Merlot). Fruity but smooth with solid finish that brought out licorice and different flavors than initial taste.

Big berry flavors, less spice than expected. Nice overall.

Nice zin. Good tannins and fruit. Looking forward to another.

A little light though overall relatively complex. Poolside so...

One of my favorite Zins. Juicy Fruit, but not a fruit bomb. Has baking spice on the back end. Very smooth and not as "in your face" as most Zins. A hint of anise but not to alcohol-ly". Would recommend as a light Zin
