Just under a 9.0 because Zweigelt is not my favorite varietal. That said, this is the best of many Zweigelts in the CHF 20 price range that I have tried. Nice depth compared to many others. Kind of like, when in Austria, I would totally order this wine at a restaurant!

Easy drinker without much of a depth, but enjoyable still. Soft tannins, berries at first tongue.

Back to an old favorite. Rich, fruity, and smooth with a spicy, earthy finish. If you like earthy wines and fruit bombs, this is the wine for you.

May 23rd, 2017Deep purple with not much on the nose. Smoke, dark fruit and solid, balanced tannins with a hint of tart fruit. Quite good.
