Kathryn Hall Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Been saving this one & it is in the sweet-spot of its prime. Never forget the first time I had it at the Wine Spectator, Grand Event “Tasting of the Ages” Thing at the Marriot Marquis back in 2014. In the highest of company it beautifully defined itself as more than just a “competitor” with some the most sought-after Cabs in the world- it was in a Leauge of its own. Good chance it’s my favorite Cab of all time.
@tonight its in its prime.

Incredibly sensual. 1 sip and my smoking hot wife lost her panties and we made love like wild beasts on the African plains.

So expressive with an opaque purple color, beautiful licorice, chocolate and espresso notes intermixed with creme de cassis and blackberry. This is a beauty, with full-bodied power, stunning purity and a long finish. It should turn out to be sensational - big bold beautiful and omg delicious

Drinking much better than the 09 right now. That had red fruit and oak upfront and faded fast. The 10 has blacker fruit, herbs, and black olive....much more interesting and delicious....but also fades quickly after opening.

Jul 2nd, 2016Blind Tasting MOT=90
Color: Solid Red
Nose: Earthy and cherries
Palate: Very sweet for some reason, and a little thin for my liking, initially there was something in the front of my mouth that was off putting (was an 86). As the night progressed that front of the palate feeling went away and came through with cherries and cassis.
Opinion: As I found out this needed more time open

Kathryn Hall 2010 cabernet.
Graphite, pencil shavings on the nose, red berries neither tart nor stewed on the palate along with black pepper and a noticeable amount of green bell pepper. I honestly expected more.
