Exzellenz Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine was given to me signed by the wine maker, deep dark and brooding Cabernet, delicious and it’s still evolving in the glass.

Tasted at the Taste of Yountville.

Dark purplish red. Dark and rich on the nose, can easily smell inches away from the glass. Aromas of anise, vanilla, oak and black fruits. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Insanely rich on the palate, the flavors completely coats your mouth. Layers of cassis, plums and dark cocoa. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2042.

Made up of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 26 months in 90% new French oak barrels.

Tried halls three platinum cabs - this is wrong name - all where different - but really good

Visits at Hall are cool, but the visit at their Rutherford location was really really special. Totally recommend it

Earthy, chocolate and subtle cherry. Deep finish that makes you want more and more.

Big, bold, complex. Lots of black and blue fruit. Dry, lots of tannins though not overwhelmingly so.
