So, this had nice fruit but it lacked depth & character. Especially, for a 2019. Most 19 Napa Cabernets or blends have shown me more. Also, would have expected to see more integration of what is there.
On a another note, I took the top right picture of their estate Merlot on 7/11/26. This is the furthest advancement of veraison in early July of Merlot in all my yrs. Or, in July period. This is what happens when you have a very warm tail-end of winter and warm Spring. It was 95 for many days in March while it was technically still Winter. 👀 😳. I have lived in Ca a long time and have never seen 95 in mid March. Climate change is real. It is likely they pick this August 10-15. Do not recall that ever happening either.

What is not to like - amazing - opened and decanted and in 30 minutes this was crazy good
Color legs smell - all three were exactly what I remember when tasted in Napa
But the taste was better - big bold beautiful- just loved the power of this fruit forward beauty - it will still get better but not much and thus is built for The distance - 10 years left easily - reminded me of realm moonracer

On the palate flavors of raspberry, cranberry and cherry fruit, herb pepper, cacao, cedar and vanilla spice with slight creamy texture. Fine structured soft tannins, nicely integrated with acidity, great mouthfeel, a big wine with a long finish ending with fruit and oaky notes. Tasting Sample.

1 person found it helpfulJan 14th, 2017REALLY great nose on this cab, pronounced with raspberry liqueur, wet earth, green vegetation and sweet baking spices. The palate focuses more tightly on the earth notes and some black fruits, but overall this works well.
