Deep ruby color. For a young(ish) spanish wine, tertiary scents dominate the nose with tar, earth, tobacco, and just a bit of red cherry and baking spice coming through after being open a couple of hours. Flavors are similar, with earth, tar, red and black fruits. Firm drying tannins dominate the finish, with black fruit and tar flavors. This is a dark, brooding wine. For those who prefer fruity or easy drinking wines, this will not be your cup of tea, but I enjoyed it quite a bit

Deep Ruby color, aged I n French oak for about 9 months, aromas of red and black berries and earthy spices. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry, screaming acidity, savory herbs and pepper spice. Firm tannins, some vanilla notes, medium finish ending with earthy notes. Tasting Sample.

Darn good. Firm, but well-integrated tannins. Nice graphite scented complexity
