Crianza Rioja Tempranillo Blend

So this Rioja is about $12 at Whole Foods. For me it probably beats most reds at that price.

Good wine? Yes. Worthy of 91 points? Nope. Just my opinion. I've tasted #Rioja in the same price point such as Cerro Anon by Bodegas Olarra that showed more character and Terrior. I'm not a fan of the point system and this is a classic example of why not. It's a good red don't get me wrong but for 91 points I would expect it to be stellar given the amount of competing wines there are.

Medium body Tempranillo with bright fruit. Great quality for price. 91

Perfect mix of sweet and body. Not too sweet.

Easy drinking and balanced.

Good. Spanish wine, fairly inexpensive. Bought at Vintage Liquor. Would buy again but there are better Spanish wines.
