Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe red fruit and smoky spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with citrus leather and pepper. Firm tannins, lively acidity, good balance, medium+ finish ending with a mineral character.

Very tuned in Aglianico, meaning: balanced, yet ferocious tannins that do even out with air. Serious medium to big bodied-ain’t no Aglianico lite. Wild Blackberries, dusty, & delicious. Has some stuffing to go several years. Shame I bought this as a one off.

Nose has slightly scorchy old leather and dark dark berries. Scorchy in the mouth too. Not inspiring.

Black cherry, smoke, black pepper, crushed rocks. Sturdy, polished tannins with palate-coating black fruit and savory dried herbs. Well worth seeking out for the bargain hunters. Irpinia is such an underrated DOC that deserves greater recognition.

This one jumps out to you. A big bold bunch of berries and some sandalwood to start. Some softish tannin that sorta build and linger and drift off with a mineral or 2 that I need to figure out:)
