A very good Nero Mascalese. Earthy, savoury and minerally. Planted in chalk soils near the sea. Medium bodied with good texture and acid. Excellent balance.

Nose is a cross between a zin and rioja (strange) but really good. Very modern in style.

Nero d'Avola from Sicily. Fascinating aromatics of lavender, pine resin and black olive. Quite fresh and youthful. More time required but nicely composed with nice length and furry tannins.

Dark burgundy in color, smell of fig, black cherry, licorice and plum, good acidity with soft firm tannin, well balanced with a smooth finish. Bold and full body.
