Stewed fruit, over extracted, porty finish. I don’t know if this is the style (Sicilian) or I got a dud bottle, not for me in any case. 14€/$21

Nice smooth red - Nero d avola. Delicious with pizza...

Black fruit, fig, toast and vanilla.
Has potential for further aging.
Very good quality.

Great for the price. Lots of southern Italian fruit. Very easy drinking. Great with spice.

Can one really rate Italian red without food? I don't believe so. So, with that in mind and a pasta puttanesca before me...it's an easy 9+.

I've not yet been to Sicily, but this wine almost whisks me away. Beautiful juice, dark red & blue fruits, baking spice, lots of flowers and igneous rock on the nose and finish...in between is a savory complexity. Beguiling and satisfying.

The Word is silky!

Mineral. Macerated grape nose. Precise almost like a good fresh Grenache. Great with sourdough pizza crust! Makes the wine taste like metal.

Very pleasing wine, lot of cherries note. Good!

We got this bottle at Osteria Mozza. Medium body.
