A little young, but it's opening up beautifully as I drink it. -- trying a new bottle 2 days later -- In retrospect this is much much nicer than the Cos Nero Di Lupo I also had this evening. Smooth tannins on the mid pallet and the earthy aftertones make this an excellent wine. I'm editing my 9.0 rating and upping it to 9.2.

Dark and tannic, good acidity and fruit, but the alcohol and oak are not very well balanced.
