Guessed a warm vintage, New World Chard in our blind. Close enough. Big wine, but balanced I felt. Exotic fruit and rich oaky flavours, super dense, very long finish, and crisp acidity. Needs lots of air. Will be nice to revisit with age.

Apple, lemon, cedar, toasted almond, honey, oak and hints of stone fruit. Great acidity and balance.

Downright snappy. (Austria came to mind.) Subtle Chardonnay character.

13’ Grgich Hills Estate
Paris Tasting Commemorative Chardonnay.
PLEASE don’t serve this to cold! You won’t taste much if you do.
Color- A greenish hue to it -straw/ light gold.
Lemon curd, white flowers, white peach, wet stone. Some richness to it🤔 Nice acidity throughout the glass.
Beautiful wine that’s medium to full-bodied !?!? 6/8 great years in it. Possibly more.

This was delicious. A great expression. Full of fruit and with nice length. A great wine selection to walk about the tasting room festooned with evidence of the 1976 Judgement of Paris.

The true commemorative bottling, 2013 was 40 years after the 1973 Chateau Montelena made by Mike Grgich that swept the "Judgement of Paris".this wine has great balance with just enough tropical fruit to be interesting. Lots of Meursault-like character here

Made every year in the same style of The Paris tasting winning Chardonnay back in 1976. Lean and stony on the nose. Sulphur, lemon pith, green apples. Textured and sweet baking spices on the palate. 16 months in French oak.

California interpretation of Meursault. 25 second finish—no joke. Structure and balance applied by a master to a very rich and big wine.
