You were crisp tropical mango, papaya, and pineapple mixed with baked apple. You had Medium+ acidity, with a smokey minerality that shows off your French oak influence. Your finish was nice, and you'll go nicely with my grilled snapper for dinner. Grgich Hills Estate Chardonnay 2010 - Napa Valley. 40% new French oak, no malo.

1 person found it helpfulApr 14th, 2014I got this for $10 on close out because of the vintage being old (2010. It's now 2017). That being said, the wine still held a bright acidity and minerality, but I feel that the fruit flavors were in decline. All that was left were some green apple and a bit of pineapple in the palate. The wine was certainly acceptable, but not memorable. Well worth the $10 though (usually runs 25-30 ish).
