First time trying this, and we were very impressed. Lots of orchard fruits on the nose, with a hint of baked apples. Very little perceptible wood treat on the nose or palate. It presents crisp on the palate with a nice bright acidity, but has volume and weight. Love the fruit and moderate sweetness. Less malo and nutty notes make this a big hit for us.

Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, toasty vanilla oak and floral spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peaches, pineapple and lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice creamy mouthfeel. Long finish ending with spicy vanilla oak, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A big Chardonnay. Pair this with grilled Swordfish or spicy sushi.

Nov 27th, 2024The “King of Chardonnay” Mike Grgich farms w/o pesticides and certified organic. Aged 10 months, no MLF. Medium lemon color with aromas of stone & citrus fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, pear & lemon citrus flavors, with honeysuckle, vanilla & toasty oak notes. Nice balance with acidity on long finish with a toasty mineral ending. Not your typical CA Chard, very nice!

Medium lemon color. Pronounced nose. Lemon custard, honey, quince, popcorn, Smokey. Medium+ acidity, high alcohol, medium+ body. The high alcohol and the lees mask the fruit and the resulting sensation is a lack of freshness.
