Apr 2nd, 2024Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, toasty vanilla oak and floral spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peaches, pineapple and lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice creamy mouthfeel. Long finish ending with spicy vanilla oak, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A big Chardonnay. Pair this with grilled Swordfish or spicy sushi.

This is a delicious Chardonnay from Napa Valley.
This three-year-old needed a lot of time to open up properly. I opened it yesterday, and I did not like the nose at all. So I put the cork back, and kept it in the fridge overnight. What a wonderful difference.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Showing citrus, lemons, apples, pears, tropical fruits, guava, lychee, black pepper, spices and light oak.
Nicely balanced with a fresh mouthfeel.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
92 points.

Very similar to the Matthiasson Linda Vista Chard from last week. Translucent gold color. Metallic elements and apples on the nose. Lively and dominated by apples. Seems to have many years left in it.
