Four Brothers Vineyard Pinot Noir

This wine is aging gracefully. Secondary and tertiary notes coming to the fore. Floral/spicy nose that is so fragrant. The cherry has turned dark, supported by more spice, clove, cinnamon. Truly an excellent wine.

Dark cherry and spice nose. More dark cherry on the palate with cola, plum, cooked strawberry, cinnamon, clove, oak, with a hint of cocoa. Medium plus alcohol, medium minus tannins, and high alcohol.

Cherry pie and allspice on the nose. Silky cherry, cinnamon, strawberry shortcake, cranberry, mincemeat pie, and minerals. Medium minus tannins, medium alcohol, and high acid.

Tart red fruit nose of raspberry, cranberry, and cherry. Bright cherry, on the palate with cranberry, rhubarb, fresh blackberry, and white pepper. Medium minus tannins, medium alcohol, and high acid. A smooth, medium bodied pinot that matched grilled salmon perfectly.

An excellent wine. The bright fruit attacks the palate and then smooths out to a silky finish. As it opened, dark chocolate notes emerged as accents.

Wow! What an elegant and beautiful wine. It will probably peak over the next year or two. Such delicate earthiness accents the delicious and balanced fruit so well.

Great wine. More on the elegant side of Pinot noir. Can't wait to taste it again in about a year.

Sadly, this wine may have peaked. The fruit is really starting to go. Still very very good though.

This is what pinot noir should taste like. Lovely aromas of red fruit and a rosemary, bay leaf kind of herbaceousness. Palate is almost too delicious, with high-def fruit, racy acidity and a minerally edge on the finish that makes you want to pick up the glass immediately and take another sip. That is until you realize the wine has vanished, like a virgin on prom night. Poof, gone. A ghost.

I love it when a wine looks red at some angles and purple at others. This is an excellent expression of pinot noir, with a purity of fruit and mushroomy earthiness that lasts and lasts.
