Surely stepping way outside of my usual wine drinking habits with this choice from deep in my cellar tonight. The fruit has softened, which is a good thing, but the heavy use of American oak is still dominant. Soft and velvety mouth feel, with a medium finish.

Nice complexity and fruit that is somewhat more acidic than expected for a Shiraz but works really well and with a smooth finish
