Graziano Prà
Otto Soave Classico Garganega
Pra Soave was calling to me from the back of the fridge and I heeded that call.
Like a really well crafted pop song, this wine is effortlessly enjoyable on a superficial level, but when I stop and think about it, there’s a lot underpinning this wine’s effortless enjoyability. Chablis like on the nose - intense minerality (limestone, but also that flinty volcanic stuff), lemon curd, pear, a hint of chamomile & blanched almonds. The texture is what makes it though - crisp but with gracefulness to it. Lively acidity in perfect balance with leesy bass notes.

It's a very aromatic fruit forward wine that reminds me of a Chardonnay without the creaminess. It feels like a food wine, like it would taste better with a light cream pasta, fish, creamy cheese, or maybe even a light pizza.
Color: light yellow that reminds me of some oaked Chardonnays.
Aroma: It's a lovely fruit forward smell. It smells like a fruit basket with apples, peaches, pears, apricot. It's crisp and refreshing like a morning sunrise!
Taste: It reminds me of Chardonnay and that malolactic acid taste. There's a mineral flavor and a bitterness that reminds me of lemon rinds. When chewed, there are subtle lemon, apricot flavors. It's light body with some minerally aftertaste.
