Grant Burge
Miamba Barossa Shiraz
One large label from Grant Burge's new upgrade of his 2012 Barossa reds; this the Miamba (vineyard once bare, rejuvenated 1983); Orlando once sold Miamba Hock from riesling in the 70s; same vineyard? AUD 28; great aroma, palate tighter, could be more (egg fined); excellent restraint-direction style (no syrupy texture) #barossa #shiraz #grantburge #miamba #drinkoz

Aug 18th, 2014Saw it for 50% off so I bought a couple bottles. This Shiraz is full and dark with plums and a peppery spice. Not too impressed with it.

Jan 19th, 2015Lovely Aussie, with the elegance of north rhone, grace, tender tannin yet lasting, full body of berries, light touch of pepper and fennel.

Aug 24th, 2014Dark red hue, almost crimson. Dark fruits, plum, blackberry, mild choc. Similar on the palate. Fruit lasts on the tongue. Mild spice. Not a lot of oak.
