Medium ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of spiced berries, raspberry, ripe red currant, ripe blackberry, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, very subtle savory nuttiness; dry, medium plus acid, medium minus tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, flavors concentrated and balanced, flavors fill palate, very good

A bright, easy to enjoy bottle from Daniel y Fernando at a BTG price point. Fruity and just a touch volatile, sandy and mineral on the finish. It offers a peek at the lighter side of Garnacha from the Gredos, but just a peek. Would be an amazing value at $12-13 retail, but worth a spin nonetheless.

(side note: anyone else bothered by the flood of spam & hacked accts here lately?)

Garnacha from the mountains outside Madrid. Grows on pink granite soils. A very cherry, light and mineral wine. Rather similar to some Cotes-du-Rhône. 13.5% abv.

Cheap red wine tasting like cheap red wine. Strong fruity flavor to start, followed intense battery acid in the finish. If it were $5 less it might’ve been a reasonable purchase.
