Nose is fantastic, with kirsch, ripe raspberry ooze, smoky bricks, roasted herbs. Rich and intense on the attack, with initial fruit giving way to a long, savory finish. Full-bodied. My only criticism is that the tannins are a tad bit coarse, and add a slight bitterness that detracts at the end.

Still developing nicely. This is slightly fruit forward, with nice subtle red stone fruit notes, even a little tropical fruit, interesting white pepper and jamon/melon edges. Yum!

75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Carignan & 5% Mourvèdre. Sourced from Alder Ridge and Horse Heaven AVA. 60% whole cluster. Floral fruits of; blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, black raspberries. Soft minerality, violets and purple florals. The palate is M body (Burgundian in style), M+ tannins and saline minerals. Fruit are; blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, black raspberries. Dark soils, red roses & violets. There's a real hands off get out of the way style in making this wine; which I really enjoy. Crushed rocks, dry stones, big soft acidity and rich polished finished.

I wish more wineries in America would make Grenache ( in this case I think it's75% ). Red current, blueberry, violets with a lengthy smooth finish.

That one was singing, and the first bottle to disappear at table 2.

MS Poe crushed it with this one. Really nice. Smoke, lead, dark fruits, licorice, mineral, which all sounds quite heavy....which this wine is not.
