The 2012 Brut Celebris is one of the most polished Champagnes I have tasted from Gosset in some time. Plenty of energy and acidity have long been signatures of this prestige cuvée, but a bit more meat on the bones keeps the wine from veering into the realm of the excessively austere, as was sometimes the case in the past. Dried lemon confit, chamomile, white pepper and salt all race across the palate. I very much admire the energy here. This blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir spent ten years on lees and saw a dosage of 5.5 grams per liter. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

Lemon, mineral, lots of acid, still pretty tight and can use more time, lots of upside.

Mr. Ha's tactful description of this bottle, "Exactly what it should be for the vintage and the house." Unfortunately bring true to form meant being overly oxidative and flabby. I found it difficult to enjoy. Easily the worst thing I tasted all night (and I brought the bottle). In any case I enjoyed the lesson from Mr. Ha and tasted another grande marques. Happy birthday wife part 2.

Hard the judge after a 2004 Krug … this is good. So young. Great champagne

The color is golden with emerald reflections and particularly fine bubbles. The nose is fresh, with a hint of menthol spicing up the fruity aromas of pink grapefruit and frangipane. The attack is clear and fresh with a touch of lemon. On the mid-palate, the wine evokes a range of gourmet aromas: apples baked in salted butter, tarte tatin, candied ginger… This subtle complexity is enhanced by a spicy touch of candied ginger and star anise. The long, tonic and mineral finish evokes fresh pineapples with a touch of citrus.

After Xmas drink with the family. Typical aged champagne aromas with fine bubbles. Very pleasant 1998 Gosset Celebris.

Nutty and applet on the nose. Quite taut but advanced notes on the palate. Tangy. Quite rounded.
