Excellent for the price point! Very smooth and opens up really well!

$9 Target // very nice mouthfeel, a hint of raw vegetable, very jammy and a touch of pepper. Very good wine especially for the price.

Clearance priced at mass market retailer. Inky purple in color. Buttery cough syrup (briar, eucalyptus) with a hint of raisin or prune in nose. Blueberry, blackberry, briar cherry and a hint of prune in mouth, initially with a soapy mouthfeel in finish. Thin flavor profile midway initially but more flavor develops later; good body throughout. Slightly hot aftertaste with minimal bitterness lingering. Not great but acceptable Zin, mostly fruit-forward, true to varietal. Did I mention how cheap this was?

Ruby in color with medium to light intensity and a red rim.

Not too appetizing on the nose with barnyard, rotten berries, blackberries, oak, cherries, cranberries, pomegranate, red currants and black pepper.

Medium-bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Fruity and tart on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, blueberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves and herbs.

Medium finish with very soft tannins and peppercorn.

A Nice Zinfandel, but very simple and flat. Not interesting, but still a good everyday table wine, that would go well with grilled meats.

14% alcohol by volume.

Impressive Zin, especially in this price range.

Exuberant nose filled, with jammy red fruits, pot pourri, fennel seed and nutmeg. Just as spunky on the palate. A bit sweet for my liking though.

Ruby red, strawberry and cherry nose that carries over to the palate. Medium body, mellow tannins make this an easy drinker that is a great value at less than 10 bucks.
