Full-bodied, slightly smoky Barolo that is in perfect balance. Silky smooth, with tannins that are integrating well. Dark cherry with dried violets... this is not a feminine Barbaresco (a personal favorite), but is still so so good. Thanks to Austin Wine Merchant for having a 2013 in stock. Wish my wine friends were with me in Austin to enjoy. A monster wine... give this one time.

We went after finding a few bottles after we tasted the 2014. Nose of crushed flowers, tobacco, tar, and a dollop of asian spices. Oh soo good in the mouth, relatively accessible but prominent tannins and will do much better in 5 to 7 years. Our kind of Barolo, phenomenal with food. Top stuff.
