Seemed tired when first poured but blossomed in the glass.

Full-bodied, slightly smoky Barolo that is in perfect balance. Silky smooth, with tannins that are integrating well. Dark cherry with dried violets... this is not a feminine Barbaresco (a personal favorite), but is still so so good. Thanks to Austin Wine Merchant for having a 2013 in stock. Wish my wine friends were with me in Austin to enjoy. A monster wine... give this one time.

A perplexing wine for me! Expected so much more! It was soooo silky and easy to drink with just floral and strawberry notes. Almost too easy drinking that it didn’t seem like Barolo... nothing like I had ever tasted. Although it wasn’t “typical” it went down real easy and was on my mind all day! 🙄

Incredible nose of meat and tar. Changed in the glass as floral aromas emerged with time. Has a long life ahead of it.

Beautiful, earthy dried flowers strawberry jam and cherry compote tinged with dirt.

Was expecting a bit more out of this. Please tell but not engaging as should be.

Savory, pungent, explosive aromas. Mushrooms cooking down in red wine. Umami. More umami. So good. Maybe not aging for much longer, so go get it. At its best in the glass, it had moments of brilliant lusciousness. Happy to have experienced it.
