Very nice though the oxidative wood aromas are a little dominant at least to start. solid fruit and acidity.

Dusty tannins are kept in check with a beautiful aroma of crushed rock, dried purple flowers, potpourri and tart crunchy red fruit. this is a serious wine that opens up in the glass over an hour or two

Excellent example of Rabaja Barbaresco! Always great to have a wine from Leonardo Locascio Selections!

Agree with earlier comments at the initial muted nose. Still in 2016 for a 2009, the wine must breathe to be fully appreciated. Under ripe, tart fruit, clear, light garnet color with medium viscosity. Give it a little time to open and enjoy with food.

Really well balanced and easy drinking. The finish is what impressed me the most. Up front and mid is surprisingly light with hardly any noticeable tannins and then the finish slaps you in the face with dark fruit

Excellent nose, one of those wines you want to keep sniffing more than sipping. Excellent aroma. It is more a food wine, very suited for grilled steaks. I lack the vocabularies to describe the heavenly aromas. Taste leans toward acidic, highly suited with grilled red meats to cut the fats. Outstanding!

Still has jammy quality, lots of fruit, almost "new school" which was surprising. Should suffice for Sunday Spaghetti & Meatballs! ;)
