Nice find at Costco at a great price. But, this 2019 is overly grippy and has slightly burnt notes that prevents me from buying again. The 2020 Kirkland Barolo is less expensive and tastes better (unlike the lackluster 2019 release). Aging is a possibility, but this one might not do better with time. Perhaps an off bottle?

Nov 10th, 2024Medium garnet hue. Aromas of cherry, earthy, oak, raspberry, rubber, salt, tar, vanilla, and violet. Full-bodied, with robust (yet integrated) tannins and high acidity. Palate of red fruits, rubber, and spice. Complex bouquet with a remarkably round finish that begs for another sip. A well-made wine that's coming into its own, capable of standing up to rich dishes, and worthy of cellaring for still longer.
