Fruit sourced in Calistoga, and in the south-eastern corner of Napa in the Harris Blue Ridge vineyard at 2819 feet. Medium-deep ruby red. Sweet ripe black fruit in the nose. Ripe, round, fruity attack, powerful, well-integrated alcohol and good acidity. Good lenght. 15% abv., 29,7 euro.

One of several excellent Zins I have recently tasted. Terrific balance, dynamic spiciness and impressive balance, especially in light of the 15% alcohol (which is so integrated as to not be noticeable).

2013 vintage. Nice nose with rich red fruits and fresh oak. Forward wine, jammy with descent complexity. Hides the high alcohol well. Crowd pleaser.
