Tannic, velvety but the fruit weakened a bit. WS was gushing over this? Day 2 was pleasant but still just kind of boring.

Delicious. Earth, leather, cinnamon. Went well with throw together pasta and flank steak. Love me a nice Barolo.

Italy. Red. Piedmontese.
Oaky, earthy wine. A bit of leather but not as much as I find in Tuscany. I prefer Nebbiolo (Barolo) over Sangiovese (Chianti). Went well with cream sauce pasta. But, personally, I like the Southern Italian and Sardinian fruity reds, which is lucky for me because the northern reds are far pricier. 14% alc by vol. This really improves with decanting a few hours.

Strong cherry flavors, lots of tar notes. This wine got better after two hours of decanting.
