Time to drink this if you have it. Secondary flavors coming through. Nice, elegant, soft and beautiful. Tannins fully resolved and fruit is barely hanging on. I don’t drink much barolo. I’m curious how this tasted at release. Good value. Needs 30 minutes to open up and then drink over the next 2-3 hours, max.

$59 @ Last Bottle. 2009 drinking well in 2020. Classic Barolo color with a slight browning hue. 100% used oak. Smooth with slight tannins on the initial pour.

On to Barolos after brunellos. 2005 bought at winery. Not much on the nose but powerful cherry/red fruit. Slight vanilla and tobacco. Great length. Delicious. Competing with antico 1995 for wine of night. Great length. Smooth tannins with a bit of cool roughness on mid palate....
