Barolo from central casting that drank seamlessly despite its youth. Tar and roses, cherry pie baking somewhere, some wet earth hiding in my glass. Superb.

A favorite but a baby. Some cherry, candied fruit, tobacco and spice.

Killer Barolo, could be in a master class for typicity of Nebbiolo character, beautiful pure aromatics. The quality of the work is apparent, much respect for craftsmanship without ego.

'11 is a frustratingly good vintage in Piemonte.

Holy crap... was corked! Giovanni he's a true wine artisan, caring in ascetic worship his 1.8 ha of vineyard called "Paiagallo" from where he pulls out just a phenomenal Barolo: inviolable tradition, little sulfur, foot-pressed grapes, indigenous yeasts, aging in large old cask "botte grande". Such a curse that this time I couldn't enjoy this extremely elegant wine because of the miserable taint of trichloroanisole (TCA) in the cork.
