Got a killer deal on these magnums of Pelissero Barbaresco. Enjoying the 2011 vintage for early drinking yet will go the long haul if desired.

Magnum. Drinking easy right out of the gate, product of the vintage. Went great with prime rib!

Began as chocolate covered cherry with a raisin-y note. Thought it was borderline oxidization, but it all came together in a silky, chocolate covered baked plum essence, guava, soy-citrus and old roses. Medium mouthfeel; creamy into silky, muscled tannins. Granite gravel, roasted, carmelized, red grapefruit, cranberry reduction, more sexiness than you can handle. Burgundian ending with tannins like smoke trailing for miles.

Tar, black cherry, anise, tannin and acid to burn. Dy-no-mite

My god, how much I like Barbaresco! Pelissero did a wonderfull job with their Nubiola in 2011! According the critics it's even better than it's higher classed crus...
