Beaujolais-Villages Gamay
Chunky. Sour fruits and granite. Solid; not terribly complex, but you get the feeling it was quite hot and dry here in ‘16. Super effort at getting balance and preserving freshness. #gelin #beaujolaisvillages #gamay

Jan 21st, 2019Plummy, dark, rich. Typical for the vintage, but also has plenty of acidity and a pronounced minerality. Excellent. #gamay2015 #beaujolaisvillages

Oct 27th, 2017Didn't know what to expect, but definitely a worthy every day bottle to have around. Touch of pepper on the nose. Light in body with a bit of cinnamon. Tannins aren't strong. Could use a bit of time, but also very good now. Went really well with salmon dusted with parsley, thyme, rosemary and garlic. Will definitely be buying more.

Jun 6th, 2017Tart fruit, nice balance and depth; not your mother’s boojalay.

Oct 7th, 2018Unexpected, been disappointed by Beaujolais in the past. Nicely balanced between fruit, acidity, and tannins, pleasing finish. Paired very well with grilled prime ribeye. Would buy again.

Jun 14th, 2017Obviously an entry level Beaujolais, but the style is lovely. Light to medium bodied, with plenty of gently spicy fruit and a drying but not overpowering tannin structure that made it a delight with chicken and mushroom risotto. A hint of raspberry cordial and anise on the nose. Fun drinking and good value. I'll be getting more for spring.
